Wichita to serve as 2027 and 2028 Opening Round host for March Madness

Wichita has been selected by the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee to serve as the host city for the Opening Round of March Madness in both 2027 and 2028. Alongside this announcement, the committee also named its chair for the 2027-28 season and approved updated principles and procedures for the selection, seeding, and bracketing process. Additionally, decisions were made regarding the metrics used to assist with team selection and seeding.
