Williams and Holley-Sotomi to fight for boxing gold

Wales secured at least two silver medals in boxing after Connor Williams (90kg) and Orlando Holley-Sotomi (70kg) both won unanimous decisions on Friday, July 31, 2026, to advance to their respective gold medal bouts. Holley-Sotomi defeated Mauritius' Merven Clair comfortably in the 70kg event, with both wins coming within half an hour of each other. Both Welsh boxers will now compete for gold medals at the tournament.
