2023 Wimbledon singles champion Marketa Vondrousova has been handed a four-year ban from tennis after refusing an anti-doping test. An independent tribunal found no compelling justification for the 26-year-old Czech player's refusal to provide a sample when contacted by a doping control officer at her home on the night of 3 December 2025. The tribunal emphasised that unpredictable out-of-competition testing is essential to protecting clean sport.
