Wimbledon chiefs dispute players’ revenue claims as prize money row deepens

The All England Club (AELTC) has disputed players' claims that they receive 22% of Wimbledon tournament revenues in prize money from the ATP and WTA tours. AELTC chief executive Sally Bolton announced on Monday that the club has formally requested 'financial information' from players, shortly after players called off a planned protest that would have limited their media activity during the first week of Wimbledon. The dispute over player remuneration and welfare at Wimbledon continues to escalate.
