Wimbledon rides a rain-free fortnight to record-high attendance

Wimbledon's 139th edition recorded an all-time high attendance of 550,151 over its two-week duration, surpassing the previous year's figure by 1,381 visitors, aided by the first rain-free Championships since 2019. Daily attendance records were set on Days 7, 12, and 14, the latter seeing Jannik Sinner defeat Alexander Zverev in the men's final, while Linda Noskova beat Karolina Muchova in an all-Czech women's final the day before. Despite the record, Wimbledon still trails the other Grand Slams in total attendance, with the Australian Open drawing over 1.1 million and the US Open over 900,000, partly because Wimbledon's 14-day format and off-site qualifying limit its capacity to host fans.
