Wimbledon rides a rain-free fortnight to record-high attendance
Wimbledon's 139th edition recorded a tournament-high attendance of 550,151 over its two-week run, surpassing the previous year's figure by 1,381 visitors, aided by the first rain-free Championships since 2019. Daily attendance records were set on Days 7, 12, and 14, with the men's final seeing Jannik Sinner defeat Alexander Zverev, while Linda Noskova beat Karolina Muchova in an all-Czech women's final the day prior. Despite the record, Wimbledon still trails the other Grand Slams in total attendance, with the Australian Open drawing over 1.1 million and the US Open over 900,000, partly because Wimbledon's 14-day schedule and off-site qualifying limit its capacity.
