At the first rest day of the 2026 Tour de France, Tadej Pogačar holds the yellow jersey with a commanding lead of 2 minutes and 42 seconds over rival Jonas Vingegaard, after attacking over the Col du Tourmalet on Stage 6. Isaac del Toro made history on Stage 2 by becoming only the second Mexican to win a Tour de France stage, ending a 36-year drought since Raúl Alcalá's victory in 1990. Del Toro has also played a crucial domestique role for Pogačar, leading him to stage victories at Les Angles and on the Col du Tourmalet.
