WNBA, NBA approve sale of Connecticut Sun, which will relocate to Houston in 2027

The WNBA and NBA board of governors unanimously approved the sale and relocation of the Connecticut Sun to Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta on Wednesday. The team was sold for $300 million, a deal originally agreed upon in March. The Sun will continue playing the remainder of the current season in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun Arena before relocating to Houston in 2027.
