Woll traded to Flyers by Maple Leafs for Ersson, Andrae

The Toronto Maple Leafs traded goalie Joseph Woll and defenseman Simon Benoit to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday in exchange for goalie Samuel Ersson, defenseman Emil Andrae, and a 2026 third-round draft pick. Woll, 27, posted a 15-16-7 record with a 3.34 goals-against average and .899 save percentage in 39 games this season, the lowest marks of his career. He has two seasons remaining on his three-year, $10.98 million contract signed July 1, 2024, and will serve in a tandem role with Dan Vladar in Philadelphia.
