Women's Six Nations 2026: Ireland captain King 'learning as I go'
Ireland rugby captain Erin King, 22, led her side throughout the 2025 Women's Six Nations campaign, having been appointed captain earlier in the year following a serious knee injury that caused her to miss the most recent World Cup. King started all five matches as Ireland defeated Italy, Wales, and Scotland, finishing third in the tournament with three wins and two defeats against England and France. Speaking after the campaign, King described feeling 'really honoured' by the captaincy role and acknowledged she is still 'learning as I go' under head coach Scott Bemand.
