World Athletics referee and race walking judge Costin's steps to success

Zuzana Costin, a two-time Olympian who competed in the 20km race walk at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Games, is currently the only active female technical official in the world to hold both World Athletics Gold Level Referee and Gold Level Race Walking Judge qualifications. She most recently served as a race walking judge and referee at the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26. Costin noted that while three officials hold both qualifications, she is the only woman among them.
