World champion Jepchirchir fails drugs test

Reigning world women's marathon champion Peres Jepchirchir has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after a sample tested positive for EPO, a banned endurance-boosting substance. The Kenyan athlete currently holds the world women's marathon title. The suspension means she is barred from competition while the case is investigated.
