World Rugby announce major law change as five rules take effect immediately

World Rugby has officially confirmed a major law change focused on player safety, which will become permanent across grassroots rugby worldwide from next month, moving closer to professional-level implementation. The changes, which include a lowering of the tackle height, were ratified at a meeting of bosses from all rugby nations. The new rules are set to be trialled at this summer's World Under-20s Championship.
