
World Snooker Championship: Allen beats Wilson
Mark Allen defeated world number two and 2024 champion Kyren Wilson 13-9 to reach the quarter-finals of the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield. Allen, who had squandered a 5-0 lead during the match, won four of the first six frames in Saturday's morning session to secure the victory, aided by a 140-break in Friday's session. Allen will next face either Barry Hawkins or three-time champion Mark Williams in the last eight.
