World’s No 1 disabled golfer Kipp Popert: ‘The best need to play for a living. The sport has stopped’

World-ranked No. 1 disabled golfer Kipp Popert, a 27-year-old Englishman, has spoken out against the DP World Tour's decision to place its G4D disabled golf circuit in cold storage after running from 2022 to 2025. Popert expressed shock at the move, arguing it contradicts efforts to grow the game for disabled players. The G4D Open, a tournament for 80 golfers with disabilities offering no prize money, is set to take place at Celtic Manor, in stark contrast to the $3.4 million won by Scottie Scheffler at last year's US PGA Championship.
