World's top disabled golfer Kipp Popert mourns loss of DP World tour

Kipp Popert, the world's top disabled golfer from Kent who has cerebral palsy, has spoken out about the cancellation of the DP World Tour's G4D (Golf 4 Disabled) Tour, which he says has been his livelihood for the past five years. Popert, who won the G4D Open in 2024, is competing this week at one of only two major events remaining following the tour's sudden end. A DP World Tour spokesperson stated they would continue discussions on a new structure building on the G4D Tour's momentum, but elite disabled players are currently left struggling to fund their careers.
