WTA Tour Finals moves to Charlotte, N.C., as women’s tennis takes full control of flagship event

The WTA Tour Finals will relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina, beginning in 2027, with the Spectrum Center — home of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets — hosting the event for at least three years. WTA chair Valerie Camillo announced the move alongside Charlotte Sports Foundation CEO Will Pitts, following the decision not to renew the existing deal with the Saudi Tennis Federation, which had hosted the event in Riyadh for 2024, 2025, and 2026 at a cost of roughly $25 million per year. The 2025 Finals winner, Elena Rybakina, earned just under $5.3 million in prize money under the Saudi arrangement.
