Yanks eyeing upgrades at catcher, bullpen ahead of Deadline
The New York Yankees head into the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline (set for August 3 at 6 p.m. ET) with a 54-42 record, sitting second in the AL East, 3.0 games back, and are actively seeking upgrades at catcher and in the bullpen. Team captain Aaron Judge has been a vocal leader, addressing the squad as early as late March in San Francisco to guard against complacency after a sweep of the Giants. The Yankees' record at the All-Star break is slightly better than last year's 53-43 mark at the same point.
