Yanks put up 13-run 3rd, tied for their biggest inning in 106 years
The New York Yankees scored 13 runs in the third inning against the Oakland Athletics at Sutter Health Park on Sunday, sending 18 batters to the plate with 11 hits and four walks. The massive inning is tied for the Yankees' biggest since a 14-run fifth inning on July 6, 1920, against Washington. Ben Rice was the standout performer, recording four RBIs in the inning via a two-run double and a two-run triple, while the A's were forced to make two pitching changes during the frame.
