Yared Nuguse on leading Diamond League 1500m standings: “I just do my thing and I’m happy if no one notices”

American middle-distance runner Yared Nuguse, Paris 2024 1500m bronze medallist, currently leads the Diamond League men's 1500m standings with 37 points after back-to-back victories in Rabat (3:30.35, May 31) and Stockholm (3:30.11, June 7). He holds a 16-point advantage over Australia's Cameron Myers, with Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot third on 18 points. Nuguse has already qualified for the Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 4-5, where he aims to claim his first Diamond League title, with his next competition scheduled at the Zurich Diamond League on August 26.
