
York races delayed after horse flips over and gets head ‘stuck in a hedge’
Racing at York was delayed after a horse named Galeron became upset while leaving the parade ring before the Oakmere Homes Hambleton Handicap, flipping over and getting his head stuck in a hedge. The horse was subsequently freed by officials and suffered no serious injury. The incident caused a delay to the race meeting at York racecourse.
