Za'Darius Smith unretires, signs with Falcons after Jalon Walker injury and James Pearce Jr. suspension

Za'Darius Smith has come out of retirement to sign with the Atlanta Falcons, having previously retired after just five games last season. His signing was prompted by roster needs created by an injury to linebacker Jalon Walker and a suspension for James Pearce Jr. Smith's return gives the Falcons additional depth at the linebacker/defensive end position.
