Zak Brown: McLaren F1 talks with Max Verstappen ‘didn’t go anywhere’

McLaren CEO Zak Brown confirmed at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone that talks with Max Verstappen 'didn't go anywhere,' stating he is content with current drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, both of whom hold long-term contracts with the team. Reports had emerged ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix that Verstappen's management had initiated conversations with McLaren about a potential future seat. Verstappen, currently seventh in the standings with only two podiums in eight races, is contracted to Red Bull until 2028 but may have exit clauses if he falls outside the top two in the championship at a certain point.
