Zheng, Andreescu, Montgomery roll into final US Open qualifying round

Olympic gold medalist and No. 14 seed Zheng Qinwen advanced to the final round of US Open qualifying on August 26, 2026, defeating Clara Burel 6-1, 7-5 in dominant fashion. Former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu and Montgomery also progressed to the final qualifying round. Zheng, currently ranked No. 121, is now one win away from securing a spot in the main draw.
