At the 2026 Weltklasse Zürich Diamond League meet on August 27 in Switzerland, Karsten Warholm will attempt to beat Alison dos Santos for the first time in 2026, having lost all four of their meetings this season — with some margins as close as nine hundredths of a second. The Norwegian 400m world record holder last defeated the Brazilian in June 2025. Additionally, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and Julien Alfred are set for a women's 100m rematch after Jefferson-Wooden ended Alfred's winning streak at the Silesia Diamond League.
